Video essays have, in my experience, what could be called a boiling point. Many of them simmer, and are no less remarkable for simmering, but some of them boil. It’s ultimately about the essayist’s mastery of the material, the degree to which that person absorbs and can re-express the idea he or she has, . framing in Kurosawa, or what watching Breathless might have meant to a young film student, or what it takes to become a “cinephile.”
Because narrating is storytelling, it's vital to include all of the key parts of a story, too. A plot includes all of the major events of a story that work together to give it a point. These events usually lead up to the climax , or the most important part of the story.
Neither you, nor the coeditors you shared it with will be able to recover it again.
Creative brains are a valuable, limited resource. They shouldn't be wasted on re-inventing the wheel when there are so many fascinating new problems waiting out there.
